Regulations for the Synagogue:
Purposes for use• The synagogue is used for prayer, Torah learning, Torah lectures, lessons, and tours at no cost• The synagogue is used as a place of learning for soldiers of the IDF Rabbinate’s “Beit Midrash for Halacha”.• The synagogue is a place of prayer for residents of the Old City.• The synagogue is a place of prayer for Yeshivat Ateret Cohanim on Shabbatot.• The synagogue is open for tours of the lobby and the women’s section.
Religious purposes• Torah learning for anyone interested, at times when there is no other learning/prayer/shiur.• Group learning and lessons by advanced arrangement and based on availability• Prayer for anyone interested by advanced arrangement and based on availabilityRabbi of the synagogue: Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites
Regulations for the Hall:
Purposes of Use• Lessons, shiurim, lectures, events, siddur parties, chumash parties – at no cost and based on availability• Events of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, such as: Sefer Torah dedication, donor appreciation event, event for employees• Event for the purposes of Western Wall Heritage Foundation activities• Events for official institutions of the State of Israel• Personal event for donor who donated over $10,000 to the Foundation • The Foundation will allow use of Ohel Yitzchak to Yeshivat Netiv Arieh or to Aish Hatorah in return for use of their halls by the Foundation.• No political events will take place at the site.• Private events for employees of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation will be allowed (at a cost to cover expenses).• Private events of those who pray at the synagogue regularly (at a cost to cover expenses).• Events requested by donors of the synagogue, limited to 30 events annually.
1. Capacity of the synagogue: up to 100 people in accordance with safety regulations (70 in the men’s section and 30 in the women’s); capacity of the hall: up to 70 people2. The events will be conducted based on the accepted criteria of the Western Wall.3. Events not connected to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation in the hall must cover accompanying expenses, such as guarding, cleaning, etc.4. Use of the kitchen – only by catering companies with Mehadrin kashrut5. An event not using the kitchen can be with kashrut decided upon by the host.6. The men’s section in the synagogue is meant for men only and the women’s section is for women only.7. All the events will take place in accordance to directions of the Foundation, such as kashrut, dress code, etc. 8. Precondition for holding an event at Ohel Yitzchak: The program for the event must be sent in for approval at least 5 working days ahead of time to the Foundation’s Ceremony Committee in charge of approving the event. The committee can determine changes necessary for approval.
